The Second Day of the “Orbeli Forum 2025” Summarized
2 m. | 2025-11-14On November 5, the “Orbeli Forum 2025” continued its work with the participation of experts and government officials from more than 15 countries. The special guest of the day was Ararat Mirzoyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, who spoke about Armenia’s role as a center of regional cooperation and interconnectivity.

The first discussion of the day was entitled ‘Communication Routes as a Driving Force for Regional and International Cooperation”. The potential of the Caucasus as a strategic hub connecting Europe and Asia was discussed, as well as the importance of developing railway, sea and land infrastructure. Experts from Armenia, China, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan participated in the discussion.

In the second discussion, participants from the UAE, Iran, India, Turkey and the United States presented their views, touching on the new formats of international relations and the possibilities of expanding regional communication.

In the second half of the day, the focus was on the discussion on ‘Prospects for South Caucasus Cooperation with the EU, SCO and EAEU,’ during which the role of the Eastern Partnership was highlighted, as well as ways to strengthen Armenia’s economic ties within the EAEU framework. The experts from Italy, Hungary, Iran, France and Armenia attended the session.

The final session of the day, titled ‘The Role of Media and Information Technology in a Changing World Order’, touched upon the challenges of the digital age, the impact of disinformation and artificial intelligence on the media.

The event concluded with a question-and-answer session, during which Michael Yalanuzyan, Coordinator of the Orbeli Analytical Center, delivered closing remarks.
